• This country chart-topper was written by Chris Stapleton, Chris DuBois, and Jace Everett. It became Josh Turner's first #1 hit, arriving at a time when Stapleton was still primarily known as a songwriter and was only beginning to consider a career as a solo artist.
  
  Stapleton was fronting the SteelDrivers at the time, and Turner remembers being surprised when he learned that his friend was thinking about becoming a solo performer. "When I first found out that he was pursuing the artist thing I was shocked because he was painfully shy," Turner recalled to Taste Of Country's Evan Paul.
  
  Stapleton would have to wait nearly another decade before his solo career took off, but he was already establishing himself as a successful songwriter.
• Stapleton and DuBois won ASCAP (American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers) awards for the song, while Everett won BMI (Broadcast Music Incorporated) award.
• Turner's wife, Jennifer, played his love interest in the music video. She would also appear in the clip for "I Wouldn't Be a Man" in 2010.
  
  The music video was filmed at Nashville's upscale Hermitage Hotel and appears, at first glance, to show Turner enjoying a night out with an attractive blonde woman. There was one small detail viewers might have missed. "People that didn't really know me were like, 'He went from singing this gospel song and now he's fooling around in a hotel with this woman,'" Turner recalled. "I'm like, (laughing) 'She's my wife.' We were wearing our rings."
• Josh Turner released a new version of the music video in June 2021. The clip once again co-stars the singer's wife and revisits the same scenes as the original visual, but now as parents to four children.
• Scotty McCreery sang "Your Man" to audition for American Idol in 2011. He'd eventually win the season.
