  • After Pusha T included the Drake diss track "Infrared" on his Daytona album, the Toronto MC immediately responded with "Duppy Freestyle." The former Clipse member continued his Drizzy beef with this song in which he alleges that Drake fathered a secret child with a porn star.

Sophie knows better, ask your baby mother
Cleaned her up for IG but the stench is on her
    You are hiding a child
Love that baby, respect that girl, forget she's a porn star, let her be your world

The alleged mother Sophie B - real name Sophie Brussax - is a French model and pornographic actress who had a baby in late 2017 and has publicly claimed that Drake is the father.
  • Pusha T borrows No I.D.'s instrumental from JAY-Z's "The Story of O.J." for the song. The title is a reference to the sample as well as the name of Drake's planned clothing line.

    Adonis is your son
And he deserves more than an Adidas press run, that's real

Drake was rumored to be leaving Jordan and joining Adidas the month after this song was released. According to Pusha, Drake was planning to reveal his baby boy alongside his collection. "Allegedly his new line on Adidas is called Adidon, which is named after Adonis, his son," he told The Breakfast Club. "But we can't know about your child until you start selling sweatsuits and sneakers."

Pusha has, in effect, screwed up Drake's brand before it came out.
  • Pusha also attacks Drake's perceived insecurities about his bi-racial heritage and throws shots at Drake's divorced parents Sandi and Dennis Graham. However many fans felt he was going way too far with one rhyme.

OVO 40, hunched over like he 80, tick, tick, tick
How much time he got? That man is sick, sick, sick

Drake's frequent producer, Noah "40" Shebib, was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2005. In mocking his condition Pusha surely crossed the line in what is acceptable in hip-hop disses.

Shebib himself reacted in a classy manner. Upon hearing the track on May 29, 2018, he tweeted, "Coincidentally... tomorrow is World MS Day."
  • Pusha closes the track by mocking Drake's claims of being upset:

And you talkin' 'bout you upset
    Hahahahaha
Well I wanna see what it's like when you get angry, okay?
    You show me that
    Push!

The day after Drake released "Duppy Freestyle" he dropped a single titled "I'm Upset" in which expressed his anger at women who are after his money and the disrespect he gets from some of his peers.
  • So who leaked the news to Pusha T that Drake had a secret son? Drizzy implied on the HBO show The Shop that it was in fact Kanye West who revealed the existence of Adonis. However, according to Pusha the baby news actually came from the girlfriend of Noah "40" Shebib, Drake's trusted producer and co-founder of OVO Sound. Speaking on The Joe Budden Podcast he said:

"40 is sleeping with a woman... he talks to her daily. Five, six hours a day... and ultimately speaks about how he's disgruntled about certain things: Notoriety and things involving Drake, and his career, and so forth."

Pusha added: "With that also came the fact that Drake has a child. With that also came the trip everybody took to go see the child and bring him gifts and all of this information. She divulged this information."
