  • Sidemen is a British YouTube crew comprising Internet personalities KSI, Miniminter, Zerkaa, TBJZL (aka Tobi), Behzinga, Vikkstar123, and W2S. This mischievous festive drill banger arose from a challenge video in which they were split into two teams. Half received £100,000 (about $122,000) to put a parody Christmas song and music video together. The other half had just £100 ($122) to create theirs. KSI, Tobi and Vikkstar123 received the big budget, and they came up with "Christmas Drillings."
  • KSI, Tobi and Vikkstar123 used some of their budget to recruit JME for a guest verse. The drill rapper previously featured on the Sidemen's 2019 yuletide single "Merry Merry Christmas."
  • JME opens proceedings with a dig at energy companies raking in the profits while their customers try to make ends meet.

Tobi and Vikkstar take the mic on the next two verses, spitting some hyper-irreverent rhymes about Santa Claus and his missus.

KSI concludes the track with a narcissistic verse about his Xmas desires. He also renders the chorus where he fantasizes about murdering Father Christmas, leaving present-less kids in tears.
  • The three squad members enlisted Nyge to produce the track. The English grime and trap beatmaker has also worked with artists such as AJ Tracey ("Butterflies"), Headie One ("Back To Basics") and Smoke Boys ("Lock Arff").
  • Miniminter, Zerkaa, Behzinga, and W2S drew the short straw with the £100 budget. The cash-strapped team created "This Or That" with their limited funds.
  • The single started as a bit of fun but turned serious once they heard Nyge's instrumentation. "When we started the song we didn't know what to do," JME recalled to the BBC. "It could have been pop, hip-hop, grime and then the producer played a drill beat and that's when I knew this was going to be a real song."
