  • Moanin' Lisa from Chillicothe Mo.I think Rivers Cuomo made some comments about "Crab" on Weezer's website some years ago. Rivers said it's about some Asian girl who won't put out. My oldest brother Chad bought it when the Green album came out in 2001. He was nuts over Weezer & still is. I learned to love them and they're pretty good cause they're still around making tons of money. This is a cute and lurid little song----smutty yet cute.
  • Babbling Babette from Tulsa Ok"Crab" is so bizarre that it's awesome. Those lyrics are hard to understand. When the Green Album came out, I was like six years old & didn't know Rivers was singing about sex. My older brothers were Weezer fans & had all their albums so I learned the songs from there. My brother Jason said "Crab" was an Asian girl. Aint that weird?? Yes it. And you don't hear the word "knickers" in many songs now either. I wrote to Rivers a few years ago in a 19 page letter asking him more about "Crab" the song and the girl, but he never answered me. The melody of the song is so catchy and I love it, but the words are so weird!!
  • Aiken Nutz from Tahlequah Ok"Crab" off Weezer's Green album has some pretty strange lyrics & I couldn't understand them for a while. Someone told me that Rivers Cuomo was referencing some Asian chick called "Crab." Ugh! Pretty weird to be called that!! Now, I see Songfacts says it's about a guy trying to get sex with a chick. Well lots of guys know how that goes. Frustration. Well, if there ever was a Geek Anthem, this oughta be it! By the Geek Masters themselves: Weezer. I still like this song because it's totally bizarre and has a pretty funky vibe. Kinda like me.
  • Rotunda from Tulsa, OkYes, I remember "Crab" from their Green Album. My dorm roommate in college, Trixie, got the album before I got mine she played it a lot. I mean A LOT! Even in the middle of the night. What a nut! I ran onto Trixie a few months ago & she's pushing 500 pounds ( she used to be a cheerleader!). She loved "Crab" for some bizarre reason that I won't tell here. It's that bad! Anyway, I know of "Crab" but like it a little bit. I sure wish the folks at Songfacts would've written more about The Green Album here too. Weezer liked calling their albums by certain colors (The Blue Album, The Red Album, The Green Album) for a while. Rock on, Weezer!
