Whoo, alright My heater's broke and I'm so tired I need some fuel to build a fire The girl next door, her lights are out, yeah The landlord's gone, I'm down and out
Ooh, it's cold gin time again You know it'll always win Cold gin time again You know it's the only thing That keeps us together, ow
It's time to leave and get another quart Around the corner at the liquor store Haha, the cheapest stuff is all I need To get me back on my feet again
Ooh, it's cold gin time again You know it'll always win It's cold gin time again You know it's the only thing That keeps us together, ow
Whoa yeah Ooh, it's cold gin time again You know it'll always win It's cold gin time again You know it's the only thing That keeps us together, ow

Kenny from Remsenburg, NyThere's a great live version on one of Ace's solo albums, I think 12 Picks..He tells the story of writng it on the subway as a kid...
Gregg from Raceland, KySome of the best riffage from ACE. I remember reading an interview (circa 1978) where Ace says that he used to deliver for a liquor store (talk about putting the fox in charge of the henhouse), and would often bring a bottle of something cheap (usually gin) to rehearsal to warm them up since the Bleecher Street loft that they practiced in was always cold. Hence the song's title and quasi-reality lyrics.
Randy from Colerain Twp., OhAce did sing a verse of this song when I had seen KISS perform it in 2000. I had read many years ago that Ace did not like doing the vocals to songs that he had written because he was actually 'mic' shy.
Mike from Hueytown , AlMan I just found out KISS did this song. Ive heard this song for years and didn't know who it was. I have a new appreciation for KISS hahahaha Kick a** song !
AnonymousActually, Ace has taken this song out on the road with him on his solo tours! He sings it rather well! Mike C FROM POTTSTOWN PA
