  • I make it alone
    When love has gone
    Still, you made your mark
    Here in my heart

    One day I'll fly away
    Leave your love to yesterday
What more can your love do for me
When will love be through with me?

    I follow the night
    Can't stand the light
    When will I begin
    My life again?

    One day I'll fly away
    Leave your love to yesterday
What more can your love do for me
When will love be through with me?
Why live life from dream to dream
    And dread the day
    When dreaming ends?

    One day I'll fly away
    Leave your love to yesterday
What more can your love do for me
When will love be through with me?
Why live life from dream to dream
    And dread the day
When dreaming ends? Writer/s: Joseph Leslie Sample, Will Jennings

  • Danny Ironstone from Los AngelesA brilliant piece of words set to music, or the other way around. Will is the master lyricist and has penned many a great lyric. I personally prefer the Joe Sample Laylah Hathaway version, but it's just a personal singer preference. Randy C is also a great singer and did an incredible job. I think Randy shines with a mid-tempo groove behind her, whereas Laylah is a pure ballad singer to the bone. Both women are top tier, top of the food chain singers!
