Night Ranger Announces ‘Best Of’ To Be Released in August

Night Ranger has been one of the most energetic classic rock bands since they formed in 1982. In 2026, the band continues to deliver a stellar show as they continue to tour extensively. Mostly known for their hit, “Sister Christian,” the band also has a catalog that contains hard rock classics. “Sister Christian” was their biggest hit, peaking at No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100. Fans often gravitate towards the band’s hard rock side, with songs such as “Don’t Tell Me You Love Me.” Though the song peaked at No. 40 on the Hot 100, it’s a fan favorite. Night Ranger stood out in the era of the 1980s, where hair metal bands were starting to take over. They survived while keeping their cool and focusing on great songs.

The guitar styles that Brad Gillis and Jeff Watson provided for the group had that chunky 1980s tone. Many heavy metal fans could resonate with their virtuoso guitar work. Their seasoned yet cool rock approach, with no gimmicks or clichรฉs, is what sets them apart. Jack Blades, the band’s bass player and co-lead singer, brought an attitude and energy to the group that resonated with the fans. Kelly Keagy shared lead vocal duties while simultaneously playing the drums. Keagy sang their biggest hit, “Sister Christian,” about his own sister, and it put the band on the map in 1983.

What To Expect From The ‘Best Of’ Release

A new Best Of: Night Ranger will be released on August 28. It will contain new remixed and remastered versions of the band’s classics. To give fans a taste of what to expect, the band released a remaster of their 1982 hit “Don’t Tell Me You Love Me.” Additionally, a visualizer video of the song was released to tease the new Best Of album. It will be released on CD and vinyl, with a double LP coming in different colors. Color options will include black, gold, and orange splatter.

In a statement through Blabbermouth, Jack Blades said of the new release, ” The new Best Of is a celebration of not only our classic hits but also what we’ve created over the last 20 years. And we’re just gonna keep cranking it ’cause we’re having too much fun to stop! So enjoy the ride and see ya on the road.” Meaning, the Best Of will also highlight the band’s growth and creative output in recent years as well. More recent releases such as “No Time To Lose,” “Time Of Our Lives,” and “Somehow Someway” will help cover the full scope of the band’s history.

With successful albums such as Dawn Patrol in 1982, Midnight Madness in 1983, and 7 Wishes in 1985, the band’s output was consistent in the 1980s. Night Ranger had a string of hits in the 1980s that will be included in the new Best Of: Night Ranger. Among those are hits such as “When You Close Your Eyes,” which peaked at No. 14 on the Hot 100 in 1984. In 1985, they scored another top-10 hit with “Sentimental Street,” which peaked at No. 8 on the Hot 100. “Goodbye,” from the same album, peaked at No. 17, while “Four In The Morning” peaked at No. 19.
