Slayyyter’s upcoming album, Worst Man In America, is expected to be the next chapter of the singer’s 2026 LP, Worst Girl In America. And in the song “I Think He’s Got A Girl”, she reveals who this man is and how he came to be dubbed the worst.
It’s a real-time history of her partner’s infidelity and how his past has forever changed her future. The Worst Man companion release is due out on Dec. 4 via Records/Columbia.
Is Something Going On?
We open with Slayyyter moving to New York with her man. But once there, another girl begins showing up regularly at his bar.
I took our pictures off the wall, picked all your clothes up off the floor,
Put them inside a box, taped it up, sent it straight out to New York.
Moved in together, second floor, she kept on coming to your bar,
Is something going on?
Meanwhile, the relationship deteriorates as the boyfriend loses his temper when the lies and sneaking around become obvious.
You’re too quick on the draw, lie every time you talk,
It makes me feel so crazy, like I got everything wrong.
You’re quiet on the phone, what time you coming home?
I hope it doesn’t mean what I know it means.
There can be only one explanation, and Slayyyter repeats it in the hook.
I think he’s got a girl, oh, yeah.
Love’s Wearing Off
Things have changed, and Slayyyter’s man seems to be earning a type of infamy forever preserved on her new album title.
Love’s wearing off, I do believe,
Suspicions that you have done the deed.
Still, he tries to deflect and says she’s just an old girlfriend. But as he ghosts Slayyyter, the “Brand New Chanel$” singer has been replaced by his (former) ex.
And you say nothing’s wrong, but I know that it’s wrong,
I hit you up again and wait, but you don’t respond.
Said she was from the past; the past is in your arms,
And now I realize you were never mine.
Co-written by Slayyyter, Austin Corona, Violet Skies, and Wyatt Bernard, “I Think He’s Got A Girl” feels like the sequel LP’s connective tissue.
