For a fifth time, Ella Langley‘s “Choosin’ Texas” has hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. It was officially released on October 17, 2025, as the lead single of her new album, Dandelion. “Choosin’ Texas” debuted at No. 39 upon release. It soon became Ella Langley’s first No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 on February 9, 2025. Billboard has reported that since then, it has returned to No. 1 four more times. The first return was on March 7, and then again from March 21-28, April 11-25, and now has rebounded to No. 1 for the week of May 9, 2026. Langley has been battling for the top spot against songs like “BtMF” by Bad Bunny, “Opalite” by Taylor Swift, “Swim” by BTS, “I Just Might” by Bruno Mars, and “Drop Dead” by Olivia Rodrigo.
Additionally, the track is Langley’s first No. 1 on the Hot Country Songs and Billboard Streaming Songs charts. It’s her third No. 1 on the Country Airplay chart. Currently, Langley holds the top three spots on the Hot Country Songs chart. “Choosin’ Texas” and “Be Her” hold the top two spots alone, while her duet “I Can’t Love You Anymore” with Morgan Wallen has debuted at No. 3. “Be Her” was released as the album’s second single on March 30 and is currently No. 2 on the Hot Country Songs chart. It has peaked at No. 4 on the Hot 100 for the week of May 9.
Billboard also noted, “It ties for the most separate No. 1 stays over a single release cycle, matching those for Morgan Wallen’s “Last Night” in 2023 and Harry Styles “As It Was” in 2022. Overall, Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You” leads with eight ascents to No.1 in 2019-2025.”
‘Dandelion’ Debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200
Due to the massive success of the album’s lead single, Dandelion has become Langley’s first No. 1 album. Released on April 10, 2026, the album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. The album was produced by Langley herself, along with Ben West and Miranda Lambert. It was a storytelling conversation with Lambert that inspired the lyrics to her hit “Choosin’ Texas.” Dandelion has dominated the charts, with two top-five singles and the album debuting at No. 1.
To support the success of her release, Langley has announced her first arena tour. The Dandelion Tour is scheduled for the summer of 2026, as her album is set to be the soundtrack of the season. The tour kicks off on May 7 in Toledo, Ohio. The tour brilliantly wraps up in Texas with a string of shows in August.
