Tom Morello Will Re-Join Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band for Upcoming 2026 Tour

Earlier this month, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band announced their 2026 US tour dates. The Land of Hope and Dreams Tour is a 20-date US tour running from the end of March through the end of May. In a statement posted to Instagram, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame guitarist Tom Morello said he’ll be joining Bruce and the E Street Band on every show of the tour.

“After Bruce joined me last month in Minneapolis for our ‘Defend Minnesota’ charity concert, I was reminded how important our platform is, and how crucial the resistance work is that our music can do together at this dangerous historical juncture.”

Morello also added, “Together, Bruce, the E Street Band, and I are going to turn a spotlight on the current threats to democracy and human rights happening all around us in the spirit of freedom, justice, and rock n roll.”

Morello Previously Toured With Springsteen From 2012-2015

Tom Morello and Bruce Springsteen have crossed paths many times. Back in 1997, Rage Against The Machine covered Springsteen’s “The Ghost of Tom Joad. In 2008, Morello joined Springsteen and the E Street Band on stage for a performance of the song. When E Street Band guitarist Steven Van Zandt was committed to filming his TV show Lilyhammer, Morello filled in on the 2013 Wrecking Ball Tour. Morello played all of the Australian dates of the tour. He continued to tour and record with the band, contributing to Springsteen’s 2014 album High Hopes.

In order to join Springsteen on all of the 2026 tour dates, Morello will have to reschedule some of his own planned gigs. In his Instagram statement, Morello apologized to fans. “This will necessitate postponing a few of my solo shows in May. I have a deep love and respect for all my friends, fans & comrades. I promise that we will find a way to be together for these shows, in these towns, very soon.”

On March 31, the Land of Hope and Dreams tour kicks off in Minneapolis. The midwestern city was the subject of Bruce Springsteen’s most recent song, “Streets of Minneapolis.” The tour will make stops in Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York before wrapping up in Washington, D.C. on May 27.
