  • The group was formed by the Belgian producers Phil Wilde and Jean-Paul DeCoster, formerly of AB Logic. They were looking to form a group to perform some of their songs.
  • The vocalists in the group, Ray Slijngaard and Anita Doth, were born in Amsterdam, Holland.
  • Rapper Slijngaard and singer Doth had both worked with rapper Marvin D., who introduced them to Wilde and DeCoster.
  • During their brief period of hitmaking, the group sold more than 18 million records worldwide.
  • Before 2 Unlimited, Slijngaard had been a chef and Doth was a meter maid.
  • The group fell apart as Slijngaard decided to manage his own X-Ray Records label. Doth went into TV and radio talk shows. Since then, Doth has recorded with reggae DJ Mad Cobra.
