Isn't Life Great?

Album: not released (2015)

  • The 78-year-old Allen Toussaint was on tour when he died of a heart attack in Madrid on November 10, 2015. Four days later, this previously unreleased track was played by National Public Radio. He wrote it for NPR correspondent Gwen Tompkins. Toussaint gave her the demo the last time they met. Sadly, he never lived to record it formally, but to the untrained ear it sounds thoroughly professional, as one would expect from him. >>
