Songfacts®:

  • "Indestructible" is what happens when drum and bass maestro Andy C joins forces with powerhouse vocalist Becky Hill. The track is everything you'd expect from such a pairing: Andy C lays down his signature thumping bass lines and rapid-fire breaks while Becky Hill brings her commanding voice to the mix, creating a blend of pop, rave, and pure, unadulterated energy.
  • These two aren't strangers; they've known each other since around 2013. Their connection deepened when Becky invited Andy to chat on her podcast, The Art of Rave. That conversation sparked the idea for this track, but the song itself had been simmering for nearly a decade - Becky wrote "Indestructible" when she was 21. Nine years later, Andy dusted it off, gave it a fresh spin, and released it on August 29, 2024.
  • The lyrics channel a spirit of unity, progress, and sheer determination. Andy C said, "'How did we end up here, look how far we've come', says it all... it sums up my relationship with drum and bass, how popular the genre is right now as well as how huge Becky's career is."
  • Becky Hill included "Indestructible" as an additional track on the digital reissue of her Believe Me Now? album.
  • Andy C and Becky Hill dropped a Disrupta remix on October 11, 2024. This new version entered the UK Singles chart at #66, seven places higher than the original version peaked. Disrupta is a producer known for his heavy minimal drum and bass sound.
