Songfacts®:

  • All Mirrors is a set of songs centered around Angel Olsen deciding to walk away from toxic relationships. This achingly fragile post-breakup ballad finds the singer realizing she's better off alone in her own space, even when she loves someone. She explained to Q magazine: "That one specifically, it's more about not hating someone anymore and not needing them either - not even needing to talk about them or think about them."
  • Though Olsen sings this really quietly, she considers it to be her most hard-hitting song on the album. She explained to Pitchfork: "It's so soft and tender, but I'm saying, 'I like my life without you. So much.' There's nothing more impactful than someone quietly being cold and knowing that they don't need someone anymore. And if you really believe something, you don't have to shout it."
