Songfacts®:

  • Despite its title, this song does not have any religious meaning. Frontman Tim Wheeler told Kerrang!: "The lyrics come from when we were on the road for the last album. When we were feeling all burnt out and f--ked over. It's just a pissed-off rant, really."
  • Ash is from Northern Ireland, but were entranced with New York, where frontman Tim Wheeler and bass player Mark Hamilton relocated in 2004. This song has a very New York City/Lou Reed vibe, which was intentional.
