Songfacts®:

  • The music video for this punk take on the Rembrandts' Friends theme tune shows singer Bethany Cosentino donning a floral crown, with rose petals swirling around the band. Artist Direct asked Cosentino if she had the concept in mind for the clip when she penned the song? She replied: "When I wrote that song, there was a lot of imagery in my head. I was seeing very angelic-looking figures. For some reason, I was imagining a lot of reds and whites in terms of colors. I had a lot of visual ideas when it came to that song, and I knew exactly what I wanted the video to look like."
  • The video was directed by Lana Kim, who has previously helmed clips for Bleached ("Think of You," "Next Stop") and Stephen Malkmus ("Baby C'Mon").
