Songfacts®:

  • Big Sean is joined by Migos' Offset and Quavo as they reflect here on the sacrifices they've made to become successful artists.

I done made sacrifices, so many sacrifices
I done gave up so much free time knowing time ain't free
    F--k it I sacrificed it
My girl show me love, she know I made sacrifices

The theme of prioritizing his career over everything else has been a frequent theme on Big Sean's rhymes. On "Dark Sky (Skyscrapers)" he reflects on his hard work during his journey to the top and on "Blessings" the Detroit rhymer raps about how he's always working overtime.
  • This was one of three tracks on I Decided that were produced by Metro Boomin, who is best known for his work with Future. Big Sean told Apple Music's Zane Lowe about working with the Atlanta beatmaker:

"There are Metro Boomin songs that didn't make this album that are crazy," he revealed. "It's one that didn't make the album that I think is more than album worthy, but it just didn't make the album... The quality that Metro brings. Metro Boomin is young, he's like 24 and he has the brightest future ahead of him."
