Songfacts®:

  • Bob James wrote the music for the TV show Taxi, and the title track to his album Touchdown was chosen as the show's theme song. For the third episode of the first season, he wrote "Angela," which was named for a character appearing on that episode. The show's producers liked the song so much that they decided to replace "Touchdown" with "Angela" as the theme. >>
