Don't Let Me Die

Album: The Masterpiece (2012)

  • This song finds Brown paying tribute to his former wife Whitney Houston following her death in February 2012. We hear Brown reflecting on mistakes he made during their marriage: "I guess I messed up pretty bad," he sings, "I didn't know who you were. I didn't know what we had." Brown debuted the song during a May 16, 2012 appearance on the Tonight Show With Jay Leno.
  • The song features on Brown's The Masterpiece album, his first long player since 1997's Forever.
