Songfacts®:

  • "Dentist!" is a song from the 1982 musical Little Shop Of Horrors; it is sung by Orin (the dentist) and a Supremes-style girl group: Chiffon, Crystal and Ronnette. In the film, Orin is played masterfully by Steve Martin as a hybrid motorcycle riding Elvis clone and a sadist in a white shirt. It is probably fair to say that most dentists would not regard this song as an accurate portrayal of their profession. >>>
