Songfacts®:

  • This rocker from the Los Angeles-based Centershift has a lyric by lead singer Jasan Radford, formerly of OneSideZero. He told Songfacts the story behind the song:

"'Falling Into' is about truly breaking the pattern, creating a new path of thinking, of action, even when it's only for you. It's having that realization that life should be lived on your terms, and it's a personal journey for change. The process can be very difficult, but when the momentum picks up and you become comfortable in your own skin, there's no turning back.

The track is written from the perspective of my own journey over recent years, but I enjoy keeping the lyrics open-ended so fans can interpret. I think people in general tend to attach themselves to songs that are at least a little 'vague' so it gets the mind working a little bit. Music in itself can cause someone to be introspective, to conjure memories or even reflect on recent events that affected their life on many levels. I enjoy writing songs, such as 'Falling Into' as a way to both journal my life but give others an open-ended glimpse into my life."
  • The song is part of Centershift's album A Different Shade Of Color, produced by Jim Wirt, whose other clients include Hoobastank and Incubus. Along with Jasan Radford, the band is comprised of Ryan Shane Stuber on guitar, Ted Wenri on bass, and Stefan Storace on drums.
