Songfacts®:

  • "Feel It" is a song written and recorded by d4vd for Amazon Prime Video's animated superhero series Invincible. The funky bop captures the head-over-heels rush of new love, with lyrics about giddiness and wanting to get swept off your feet.

The song's upbeat energy, driven by a thumping bassline and sweet guitar riffs, mirrors the excitement of a blossoming romance. D4vd even throws in some soaring falsettos in the chorus, making it feel like you're floating on air – just like when you're smitten.
  • D4vd wrote the song for the Invincible second season episode, "I'm Not Going Anywhere," which premiered on March 28, 2024. "Feel It" sets the scene for a romantic date night, filled with classic relationship antics along with some high-flying, superheroic activity.

"'Feel It' follows Mark and Amber as they fly around the city on a date night," shared dv4d. "I wanted to make this song weightless - as if you were flying around with them. A lot of people don't know it, but writing to picture is really how I got started in music, and it was cool to be able to do it for one of my favorite animated shows."
  • Gray Toomey, Noah Ehler and Sam Homaee produced the track. Ehler previously collaborated with d4vd on his Laufrey collaboration "This Is How It Feels." Sam Homaee is one half of the Los Angeles production duo known as The Roommates. They produced much of Dominic Fike's 2020 debut album What Could Possibly Go Wrong and Selena Gomez' song "Boyfriend."
  • "Feel It" marks a shift from the typically melancholy singer-songwriter's usual style.

"I feel like I've been making sad songs since I started making music," D4vd told Genius. "To have the opportunity to kind of think about different things, it was kind of like this is my moment to show people that I can be happy at some points too and not make sad anthems all the time."
