  • This cut features a vocal contribution from American vocalist RaVaughn Brown. Originally a demo singer, Brown became the first artist signed to Ne-Yo's Compound University record label after she met the singer-songwriter in a recording studio while hired to reference a song for a music producer. This song was officially released on September 23, 2012 via Ministry of Sound Recordings.
  • Ivan Ogilvie shot the song's music video in Tokyo. The director explained that it is an exploration of Japan's 'space invaders' custom scooter subculture. "I really wanted to go out to Tokyo and explore this subculture as it was something I'd heard about through a friend, Dan, at Bathing Ape, and it's yet to be documented much outside of Japan," Ogilvie said.

"'The Feeling' is about being out there doing what you enjoy with your friends, so I wanted to capture real people on these amazing, futuristic bikes cruising Tokyo's neon streets."

He added: "The video follows on from other works I've done looking into graffiti and other youth cultures in the UK. It's all about style and I think there's something really genuine and interesting about that. There's no financial payoff for these guys, in fact it's very expensive to customize them, but the results are incredible."
