Quebec

Album: Habibti (FOMO) (2026)

Songfacts®:

  • "Quebec" first appeared in Drake's self-funded short film FOMO, which premiered on YouTube on September 15, 2026. He released a standalone video four days later, and the track arrived on streaming services on October 2 as part of the deluxe edition of Habibti.
  • Clocking in at just over two minutes, this is an unusually brief Drake track. Across a single verse, he contemplates fleeing to the Canadian province if a high-stakes move goes sideways, while touching on his mounting paranoia and flexing his usual high-end possessions. Drake previously gave Quebec a nod on his 2022 Honestly, Nevermind track "Sticky," where he raps:

    Ayy, two Sprinters to Quebec
    Chérie, où est mon bec?
  • Directed by Drake, the lo-fi visual centers on the Toronto rapper surrounded by prized possessions and memories. He poses alongside his personal jewelry, a rare Jaguar XJ220, and Cam'ron's iconic pink Range Rover, while projections of Montreal's Jacques-Cartier Bridge and skyline glow behind him. Drake has a longstanding connection with Montreal, having played his first headline show there in 2008.
  • B4U, BEAM, Smash David, FASHXN, Sean Turk, and Mike Wavvs produced the track.

British producer B4U (Bradley Baker) was one of Drake's main sonic architects across his Iceman, Habibti, and Maid of Honour projects, with credits on 24 of 36 tracks, including "Janice STFU" and "Burning Bridges."

Rapper and singer BEAM (Tyshane Thompson), the son of dancehall and gospel-reggae artist Papa San, previously helped Drake write "Ran To Atlanta" and "Which One" featuring Central Cee. This is his first production credit on a Drake track.

Smash David (Samuel David Jimenez) helped produce "Ran To Atlanta" and "Burning Bridges" from Iceman, alongside "Classic" from Habibti.
