This is a collaboration between the EDM duo DVBBS, comprising Canadian brothers Alex and Chris Andre and LA DJ Borgeous. The instrumental version, titled "Tsunami," was popular at festivals for months prior to its official public release on Doorn Records on August 19, 2013. The song became a hit across Europe, topping the charts in Belgium, The Netherlands and Poland.
DVBBS & Borgeous hooked up with British rapper Tinie Tempah for the vocal mix, which was retitled "Tsunami (Jump)." This new version was released in the United Kingdom through Ministry of Sound on March 9, 2014.
Phil Oakey recorded his vocals for "Don't You Want Me" in the studio bathroom. The recording was disrupted by guitarist Jo Callis reaching through an open window from outside to repeatedly flush one of the toilets.
