Songfacts®:

  • Born in Fier, Albania as Entela Fureraj, Eleni Foureira left her country of birth when she was young and settled with her parents in Greece. She grew up in the Kallithea neighborhood of Athens.

After several failed attempts to represent Greece in the Eurovision Song Contest, Foureira decided to enter for Cyprus instead. Composed by Greek-Swedish producer and songwriter Alexander "Alex P" Papaconstantinou, the summer banger took second place at the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest with 436 points, Cyprus best position in the contest ever.
  • This was the fourth Eurovision song that Alex P contributed towards. He also co-penned tunes for Sarbel (Greece), Aysel and Arash (Azerbaijan) and Ivi Adamou (Cyprus). The Greek-Swedish producer's other credits include hit singles by Enrique Iglesias ("I Like How It Feels") and Jennifer Lopez ("Live It Up").
  • The song's success earned Foureira a record deal at Sony Music.
