Songfacts®:

  • The subject of "Nobody" finds herself ready to face, and embrace, the world on her own after the end of a relationship. The song evolved out of a chorus Harris had dreamed up. She said: "Once again, choruses are my friend. I had this machine where I could put those harmonies on and I liked the way they spread out like a horn section."
