Steppin' Out With My Baby

Album: Easter Parade (1948)

  • Irving Berlin wrote this for the 1948 musical film Easter Parade. Fred Astaire, who starred in the movie, performed the song in a dance number.
  • Tony Bennett recorded this in 1993 on his album Steppin' Out, which was a Fred Astaire tribute. The song became a regular part of Bennett's repertoire, and he performed it as a duet with Christina Aguilera on an episode of Saturday Night Live and at the 2007 Primetime Emmy Awards. >>
