Songfacts®:

  • This song finds Galantis joining forces with Hook n Sling. The latter is an Australian DJ and producer, whose birth name is Anthony Maniscalco. Hook n Sling is best known for his 2007 breakout tune "The Bump," which received an ARIA Music Awards nomination for Best Dance Release and his 2011 collaboration with Goodwill "Take You Higher" that reached the top ten in Belgium and Poland.
  • The song features the vocals of English singer-songwriter Laura White, who finished in eighth place on The X Factor in 2008. She also took part in that year's X-Factor charity single, a cover of Mariah Carey's "Hero," which topped the UK chart.

"You Should Have Known," the lead single from White's debut album, reached the UK Top 40. Since then, she has achieved success as a songwriter penning tunes for the likes of Alicia Keys and Jess Glynne. Her song "New York Raining," which was recorded by American rapper Charles Hamilton and British singer Rita Ora appeared on the season one soundtrack for Fox's TV series Empire and reached #29 on the UK singles chart.
  • The lyric is very repetitive, with White singing, "Girl put your love on me, 'cause I won't let you down." In lieu of verses, this section repeats seven times.
