  • Gary Allan co-wrote this standalone single with Chris Stapleton, Jesse Frasure and Carey Barlowe. He considers the feel of the song to be a bit of a throwback to his youth. "I feel like I've pushed myself into a very comfortable place for myself, because it's kind of '50s and '60s Motown," Allan said. "I was in rockabilly bands my whole life, and to me, it was just a throwback to my youth writing with these guys."
  • Gary Allan originally intended this to be the lead single for an album that was never released. He eventually dropped Ruthless in 2021, eight years after his previous longplayer. This song, and his subsequent two singles, weren't included on the record.
  • The song peaked at #49 on the Country chart, Allan's lowest charting song at the time. The decline in his commercial fortunes continued when his next few singles didn't reach the listing at all.
