Songfacts®:

  • This is Danger Mouse's favorite song on the album. Comparing this song with the more cinematic "Who's Gonna Save My Soul ," he told the Observer Music Monthly March 2008: "'Going On' sounded much more almost like a dark Josie and the Pussycats (a fictitious cartoon rock band), until the ending. The ending got a little bit more like a scene from a film again." Whereas 'Who's Gonna Save My Soul?' is more of a cinematic thing to me."
