Songfacts®:

  • GRM Daily ("Grime and Rap Music Daily") is a British urban music hub. Founded in 2009, it's been influential in propping up UK urban artists from various genres, such as grime, afroswing and drill. By the end of the 2010s it had become the largest media outlet platform in the UK, and GRM Daily started to create their own original music. The platform self-released its debut tape, Let's Work, Vol. 1, in July 2019, curating songs from some of their key collaborators like AJ Tracey, Chip, Not3s and Fredo. "Burning," featuring the talents of M Huncho and Dutchavelli, is a track from their GRM 10 anniversary album.
  • M Huncho's go-to beatmaker Quincy Tellem produced the track.
  • The song was GRM Daily's first UK Top 20 hit under its own name. The platform's previous best chart placing was the #42 peak of J Hus featuring GRM Daily's 2019 freestyle "Daily Dappy."
