Songfacts®:

  • Written by record producer Peter DeAngelis (1929-82), this is a fairly run of the mill song, or would have been during the big band era. It was released as the B-side of "Loving You Has Made Me Bananas." Run of the mill or not, this track begs the question, Why didn't Guy Marks perform less as a comedian and more as a recording artist? >>>

  • Bruce Lentz from Rockhampton, AustraliaAlways thought Guy Marks wrote "Loving You has made me Bananas" until two nights ago on Radio 4YOU, I heard them play an orchestral version with vocal chorus, sounded very early, like 1930. There are posts everywhere saying Guy Marks wrote and released in 1960s. I DO remember its release, I bought the vinyl single with "Forgive me My Love" on the flipside.
I would like to buy this early version if anyone knows of it. The radio station doesnt announce artists performing.
