Songfacts®:

  • Forget the English title, this is a Spanish heartbreak anthem. Iván Cornejo pours out his pain, yearning for a lost love who seems to have moved on. Haunted by memories, Cornejo drowns his sorrows, but a desperate plea emerges: "Piensa en mí, baby, please" ("Think of me, baby, please").

"This song was inspired by the desperate desire we feel during our lowest moments in a breakup," Cornejo said. "We hate the attachment but love the thought of a rekindled love."
  • Cornejo wrote "Baby Please" in his hometown of Riverside, California. His musical talents shine through on the track, as he plays both guitar and violin.
  • Frank Rio produced the track. Rio also helmed Cornejo's three previous singles, "Aquí Te Espero," "2ndo Chance" (with Becky G) and "Dónde Estás."
  • Ivan Cornejo released "Baby Please" via Zaragoza Records on March 14, 2024. It debuted at #95 on the Hot 100, becoming the Mexican-American artist's third entry on the chart, following "Está Dañada" (#61) and "Dónde Estás" (#89).
