• Jamie Miller is a Welsh singer-songwriter whose emotionally direct, radio-ready pop turned a third-place finish on The Voice UK into an international recording career. Miller specializes in confessional breakup anthems and personal storytelling, drawing fuel from his coming-out journey, past heartbreaks, and unglamorous pre-fame years.
• Born in the Pontprennau area of Cardiff, Miller found his early music ambitions shaped by his hometown's quiet scene. "Coming from Cardiff, there's not a huge opportunity to do music and other stuff," he told Wales Online. "So in school I kind of shied away from it... it just wasn't the coolest thing to do."
• Before his TV breakthrough, Miller spent two years working at a call center, a job he credits with keeping him grounded. His main duty was troubleshooting iPads and TVs over the phone. "I'm gonna be honest, like I hung up a few times," he told TREBEL. "That's why I got fired."
• Miller gained national recognition as a finalist on The Voice UK in 2017, where he was mentored by Jennifer Hudson. "She gave me the best advice I've ever been given," he recalled. "She said to me, 'No one's going to believe in you if you don't believe in yourself.'"
  
  After placing third, Miller was personally signed to Atlantic Records by label CEO Craig Kallman.
• During his early songwriting years, Miller co-wrote Paloma Faith's 2018 single "Loyal," a key early credit that predated his breakout as a solo recording artist.
• Miller came out publicly as bisexual in March 2021 on social media, later addressing his journey in his single "I Lost Myself In Loving You," which he wrote about falling for a man who was already in a relationship.
  
  "I actually fell for someone in 2020, and for the first time, it wasn't a girl," he explained to WalesOnline. "I don't want the public to fall in love with a version of me that's not real."
• His breakout hit, "Here's Your Perfect" (2021), stemmed from a painful breakup right after he relocated to Los Angeles.
  
  "I didn't have any friends when I first moved to LA, and I just came out of a relationship and got my heart broken," he told TREBEL
  
  Miller processed the heartbreak by journaling before turning the entries into a song.
• In 2022, Miller's song "Wishes" was included on the soundtrack of the hit Korean drama Snowdrop, starring Jisoo of Blackpink in her lead acting debut. Released on Snowdrop (Original Television Soundtrack), Pt. 4 in January 2022, the placement coincided with the show's global rollout on Disney+.
• His debut EP, Broken Memories (April 2022), was executive-produced by Cal Shapiro (best known for being part of Alex Warren's songwriting circle). Miller described the project as a chronicle of an unexpected turning point:
  
  "My EP is a story of going through hardships and beautiful moments and things I never would've expected, like falling in love with a guy for the first time in my life."
• Miller transitioned from Atlantic to BMG in 2023, releasing his second EP, The Things I Left Unsaid, later that year. The project set up a more vulnerable direction that carried directly into his 2024 debut studio album, Long Way Home.
