• "So Good" is a midtempo R&B duet from Jhené Aiko and Kendrick Lamar about mutual devotion and the thrill of finding someone who ticks every box. Aiko declares "Westside everything" in her verse, tying the song into Westside Whimsy's broader identity as a love letter to LA's car, surf, and beach culture.

  Jahaan Sweet brings a completely different background. A Juilliard-trained pianist from Jacksonville, Florida, the producer has a sprawling resume that includes Kehlani's early mixtapes, Eminem's "Lucky You," Post Malone's "Saint-Tropez," Taylor Swift's "Lavender Haze" and Travis Scott's "Fe!n."
• "So Good" marks a recording reunion for Aiko and Lamar after more than a decade. The pair first linked up on "Growing Apart (To Get Closer)" from Lamar's 2010 mixtape Overly Dedicated. Aiko followed that with the sequel "Growing Apart Too" (featuring H.O.P.E.) on her debut mixtape Sailing Soul(s), before Lamar dropped a guest verse on "Stay Ready" from her 2013 Sail Out EP.
• Despite being surprise released with little promotion, Westside Whimsy debuted at the top of the US albums chart, becoming Aiko's first #1 album. "Sometimes you can overthink a rollout," her manager Ketrina "Taz" Askew told Billboard. "We just went with the flow and decided to let the music speak for itself."
