  • Tatiana Shmailyuk, the lead singer of the Ukrainian metalcore band Jinjer, is a big believer in astrology. "I know it doesn't rule your life, but in some ways, it can determine your past," she told Songfacts in 2022.

As a Pisces, Shmailyuk struggles with the complicated nature of her sign, which is symbolized by two fish swimming in opposite directions. She wrote this track to show solidarity with her astrological family.

"It's a little anthem to all those Pisces out there, because it's really hard for them to survive in this world, because they combine all the 12 signs of the zodiac in themselves. You can call it split personalities. So, we are 12 personalities inside. It's a lot of inner conflicts all the time."
  • This is a single from Jinjer's second full-length album, King Of Everything. The popular live-session music video garnered 70 million views on YouTube.
  • Shmailyuk hasn't always been the voice of Jinjer. The singer joined the band in 2010, two years after its formation, replacing original vocalist Maksym Fatullaiev. A couple years later, they issued their first EP, Inhale, Do Not Breathe.
  • This is the first and only Jinjer album with drummer Dmitry Kim, who's also played with fellow Ukrainian acts Morton and Sershen & Zaritskaya.
  • In 2021, the UK heavy-metal magazine Metal Hammer ranked "Pisces" #74 on their list of The 100 Greatest Metal Songs of the 21st Century.
