Songfacts®:

  • This electro-dance track was released as the second single from Evolution. It features a beat courtesy of Australian songwriter and record producer Jarred Rogers who started out as an in-house songwriter at Marlin Records, Melbourne. During his time at Marlin, Rogers co-penned Delta Goodrem's songs "'Predictable" and "'Not Me, Not I," which both went to #1 on the Australian singles chart. After arriving in London, Rogers was introduced to and started collaborating with Tinchy Stryder. The song that came out of their sessions, "Bright Lights," was a UK top 10 hit for the rapper.
  • JLS were originally slated to release the song on December 23, 2013 but opted for a double A-side with "Hold Me Down" due to "fan demand." However, the single flopped, only peaking at #112 on the UK chart.
