  • Ronnie James Dio was born July 10, 1942. In his early days he played trumpet and French horn but was known as a vocalist. Although he was a small man physically, Dio had one of the biggest voices in rock, fronting both Rainbow and Black Sabbath. He died from cancer on May 16, 2010 aged 67.

    Jon Lord wrote this tribute song for his friend - with lyrics by Sam Brown; it was performed by former ABBA vocalist Anni-Frid Lyngstad.

    Sadly, Lord died from cancer on July 16, 2012. >>>
