Songfacts®:

  • Jordin Sparks said on American Online (AOL) that she decided to record this as the first single from her debut album as soon as she heard it. She disclosed: "As soon as I heard the song, I knew I had to have it. I didn't even get past the first time the chorus played [when] I began to jump up and down and freak out about it. So, I knew that if I had the opportunity to have it on my album, I wanted it to be the first one. It was actually the first song that was pitched to me."
  • Amanda Ghost co-wrote this poppy tune about ending a romance together with Ian Dench. Ghost also co-wrote James Blunt's "You're Beautiful" and Beyoncé and Shakira's "Beautiful Liar."

  • Carlota from Ankara, TurkeyI agree with Charlotte, it is about trying to get over someone but also knowing that no matter what, you'll always love him/her. Whenever you love somebody, and your heart gets broken, you always have a place in your heart for him/her.

  • Charlotte from Wenatchee, WaI believe this song is supposed to be about trying to get over someone but also knowing that no matter what, you'll always love him/her. It's hard to do...and I think the song is trying to describe the relationship and why it is so hard to get over him/her!
