Songfacts®:

  • This is one of three new tracks included on Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection, the re-released version of Perry's third studio album. The Tricky Stewart-produced dance-pop song finds Perry all sexed up. "Tonight I'm gonna come alive/ Make you forget about your nine to five/ Are you ready for your blood to rise?/ Tonight's the night I'm dressin' up for you," she sings.
  • This was originally written for the 2010 Teenage Dream album but didn't make the cut. However Stewart told MTV News its appropriate for the Confection re-release. "It definitely fits," he said. "It's right there in what her sensibilities are as a musician and a songwriter. She doesn't change much. She has a very keen musical taste. It'll be really good."
