Who Am I Living For?

Album: Teenage Dream (2010)
  • This slow-burning electro-ballad is one of three tracks on Teenage Dreams to be produced by pop & R&B hitmaker Christopher "Tricky" Stewart, the others being "Circle The Drain" and "Hummingbird Heartbeat."
  • Perry and Stewart wrote the song together with songwriter and keyboardist Monte Neuble, who also co-penned "Circle the Drain" and former bass player for post-hardcore band I Am Ghost Brian Telestai.
  • Perry started of her music career as a gospel-rock artist under the name of Katy Hudson. The singer's Christian back story crops up in this song where she references the Old Testament account of Queen Esther, a Jewish orphan who married a Persian king and uncovered a plot to exterminate the Jews.
