  • Ghanian-born and UK raised R&B singer Kwabena "Kwabs" Adjepong spent his school years actively involved in choirs and jazz bands before winning a place to study at the Royal Academy of Music. His first exposure in front of a national audience came when he featured in the 2011 BBC2 series, Goldie's Band: By Royal Appointment. Kwabs was one of twelve young talented musicians, selected and coached by the drum and bass musician for a performance at Buckingham Palace in front of Prince Harry.

Kwabs co-wrote his debut single "Spirit Fade" with Jessie Ware producer Dave Okumu. When it went live on his soundcloud, it gained 10,000 plays in 24 hours. Various BBC Radio 1/1Xtra DJs including MistaJam, Annie Mac and Zane Lowe then championed the singer, exciting the ears of the labels and he was signed up by Atlantic Records.
  • Kwabs sings here about believing in your own heart. He explained to The Sun how being in care helped shape the song. Kwabs explained: "My mum was a single parent and wasn't able to look after me. I was put in foster care when I was 11."

"It was tough and unfamiliar," he continued. "Singing became a way for me to express myself. 'Walk' is about moving forward, I want to show people there's hope."
  • The song was hugely popular in Germany, reaching #1 in January 2015. It also reached the Top 10 in Austria and Switzerland.
