Songfacts®:

  • LeAnn Rimes wrote this song with Connie Harrington, Sonya Isaacs and Jimmy Yeary. "'Give' is a song with a message about how if we want love, kindness and happiness in our lives, then we need to give some of that back," she said. "I believe that message needs to be shared with the world."
  • The video was filmed in Chicago in partnership with StandUp For Kids and ties in with the song's message. It's intention is to raise awareness of the issue of homeless teens across America.
  • "Give" is the third single from Rimes' 13th studio album, Lady & Gentlemen. The single was officially released for digital download to iTunes stores on June 14, 2011 and released to radio on July 18, 2011.

Most of the album is made up of reinterpretations of classic country tunes originally recorded by male artists, including "When I Call Your Name" by Vince Gill, who also co-produced Rimes' album.
