Songfacts®:

  • British hip-hop singer and songwriter Liilz scored his first-ever UK chart entry with this viral hit about a love interest that played with his heart. After she left Liilz, he lit up a blunt and reassured himself there's still the love of his family and team. However, nothing cheered him up until another girl entered his life – hence he's "glad u came."
  • Liilz interpolates the chorus of The Wanted's 2011 hit "Glad You Came." On the face of it, the boy band's hit is about hanging out with a girl, but fans suspected there's a hidden orgasm innuendo. Liilz' version raises the same question.
  • Afroswing singer-songwriter and rapper ZieZie contributes the second verse. He addresses a girl asking her why she socializes with him and Liilz. Despite his doubts about how real she is, he enjoys being with her and is glad she came.
  • ZieZie's Official DJ Fangio supplied the production. He inserts a sped-up sample of The Wanted's "Glad You Came" at the beginning and end of the track.
