Songfacts®:

  • Though "Did it Again" is part of Tecca's debut, he's already talking about his Benz, 10s, flying to France, egregious amounts of money and a great abundance of female company. He's also discussing grinding all night in the studio to be successful.
  • "Did It Again" is the seventh single Lil Tecca released off of his first album We Love You Tecca. He recorded the song during the same sessions as his hit "Ransom," holing up in the studio for many hours and never checking the time - he doesn't know if it was day or night when he put down particular tracks.
  • Tecca has trouble naming his songs and usually doesn't do so until after the song is complete. The title for this one came after he'd listened to the recording five times. After hearing it for the fifth time and knowing he needed a title, he thought, did it again, and made that the title.
  • "Did It Again" was released as a single twice, first on January 21, 2019, and then again on July 24 after his song "Ransom" had some success.
  • The song was produced by Nick Mira and Taz Taylor of the Internet Money collective and recorded by Lil Tecca in Mira's Richmond, Virginia studio. Mira and Taylor also supplied the beat for "Ransom."
