  • Ben "Macklemore" Haggerty raps here about scarfing down bad food like doughnuts, hot dogs and cake. Co-writer Tyler "XP" Andrews explained to Genius that the rapper penned the song about his struggle to stick to a diet. "Ben was like, 'Yo, I'm doing this song about not being able to keep a diet going,' " he said. "At the time, we were all trying to get fit, and I was doing the little seven-minute ab thing on my phone. Ryan was like, 'You should do this paleo diet. We were on it and losing weight. I came back from the cabin, and it was over with.'"

"I was like, 'Chicken mother---in' Alfredo. Steak. Crepes and cake.' Of course, it feels good to be healthy, but people are who we are, and not everybody needs to be judged all the time," Andrews added. "Sometimes a mother---er wanna eat."
