  • Her great-uncle, Bobby Fischer, is a veteran Nashville songwriter who has written for Reba McEntire, Conway Twitty, Charley Pride and other country stars.
  • She cut her teeth singing in church choirs and studying dance, theater, and Spanish at Northern Illinois University, before dropping out to chase music in Nashville.
  • Married to Jeremy Ivey since 2008, Margo Price welcomed twin boys in 2010; tragically, one died just two weeks later from a heart condition. In the song "Hey Child," Price recounts her struggles with depression and substance abuse arising from the tragedy. They also have a daughter born in 2019.
  • In Nashville, Price supported herself by working a variety of jobs, including waiting tables, installing siding, and teaching dance at a YMCA.   • In 2022, Price published her memoir Maybe We'll Make It, where she details her long struggle to make it in the industry. For years, she lived hand-to-mouth, working menial jobs while busking and playing open-mic nights.
  • Price serves on the Farm Aid board and has been a vocal advocate for gender equality and social justice.
