Songfacts®:

  • In "Woman," Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine is really into a girl, almost to the point of obsession. The song was recorded for their 2002 debut album, Songs About Jane, which puts it in the bucket of tunes that were inspired by his, ex, Jane Herman. The song didn't make the album but it appeared in 2004 on the album Music From And Inspired By Spider-Man 2.
  • The song wasn't used in Spider-Man 2 and is a little out of place on the soundtrack, but it could fit the storyline of Peter Parker's love for Mary Jane. Maroon 5 was a hot band by 2004, so having them on the soundtrack certainly helped it sell.
