Songfacts®:

  • This lilting rocker was co-written and co-produced by Good Charlotte's Joel and Benji Madden. The song is about Matisyahu's confidence and ambition, with references to his travels. The reggae star went to Israel, where he connected with Judaism. Returning to America, he studied at the New School in Manhattan before moving to Brooklyn and becoming Hasidic. His journey continued in 2011 when he shaved his beard (at SuperCuts!) gave up the orthodox lifestyle. Here's more in our interview with Matisyahu.
